General information

Can I use my electrical equipment?

The UK (along with the rest of Europe) uses a standard 220-240V, 50Hz AC voltage.

The standard plug in the UK is a three pin model. Converters for other models used in continental Europe and the Americas are widely available in the UK. To use a converter you will need to ensure that your appliance can operate in the 220-240 volts range at 50Hz first - you can usually check this on the appliance label.
