The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) launched its first new chapter, outside the UK and the USA, in Singapore.

What help and services company received:
Through the Overseas Market Introduction Service, the UKTI team:
1) Organised the Chapter launch
2) Provided essential co-operation supporting RIBA on the ground

Company testimonial:
The event was well attended and included a good mix of guests, including representatives from Singapore's government, senior contacts from the wider construction industry, and other local and international organisations, skilfully assembled by the UKTI, Singapore.

The event hit the mark for the RIBA - promoting the UK's design skills while highlighting the RIBA's partnership with the Singapore Institute of Architects, and the Chapter's role in international knowledge exchange on key issues such as combating climate change.

"With the UKTI's support, the launch was a real success and provided an encouraging start in further enhancing our engagement with international members and collaboration with other built environment professions. The RIBA values the support that the UKTI can give to our fledgling chapter and we look forward to future collaborations in 2009."
