As part of continuing efforts to leverage on relevant government agencies to reach out to target audience, UK Trade & Investment Singapore joined in support of the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises’ (ASME) regular business networking event - !nteract @ ASME Networking Nite - on 28 July 2009.

The event was held at The Legends, Fort Canning Park and drew an estimated crowd of a hundred people from over 30 small-medium companies.

UK Trade & Investment Singapore team manned a desk and distributed relevant publications, creating awareness of UKTI’s local presence and services; promoting the UK as a springboard to Europe.

PurpleClick, an internet marketing company and also the main sponsor of the event, started with a presentation on "Website Insider Tips - Netting More Customers With Your Website".  The company has partnered with Google and the SME Infocomm Resource @ Singapore Polytechnic to offer Singapore's 158,000 small-and-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) a web stimulus package.

Speed networking was the main highlight of the event, participants had 3 minutes to “talk shop” before moving on to the next person at the sound of the bell. This networking event was a great opportunity for SMEs from various sectors to learn, share and network in a relax and casual setting.
