London 2012 opportunities

With the Olympic and Paralympic Games coming to London this summer, the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ is about to arrive in one of the world’s greatest cities.

British Business Embassy

The British Business Embassy at Lancaster House will use the unprecedented levels of international attention the UK will receive from London 2012 to capture the imagination of global business leaders visiting the UK and showcase UK plc.

The Global Investment Conference will be held on the eve of the Olympic Games and see 200 of the world’s leading business leaders meet with Government Ministers to discuss the opportunities for global investment and economic growth in the coming year.

On each day of the Olympics the British Business Embassy will host a programme of Summits focusing on a different high growth sector each day showcasing the UK’s engineering excellence, energy innovation, digital / ICT, leading creative industries, retail, food and drink, education, infrastructure and healthcare. The Summits will feature a business breakfast, interactive thought leadership sessions, networking opportunities and a reception.

Overall the programme will give over 3,000 UK based companies the opportunity to showcase their capabilities to key overseas CEOs, buyers, influencers and decision makers.

During the Paralympic Games, the British Business Embassy will continue with the key themes of accessibility, inclusion, assistive technologies and universal design.
