The political section of the High Commission, sometimes referred to as Chancery, is responsible for promoting government-to-government links between the UK and Singapore. It manages bilateral government co-operation (in areas such as counter-terrorism), explains the British position on international issues, builds support for UK policies and views, and keeps London informed of important developments in Singapore and the region, which affect British interests.
Matthew Moody is the Counsellor of Political and Public Affairs. He heads the political section and also has supervisory responsibility for the Communications and Consular sections.
