Message

Thank you for visiting the official website of the British High Commission in Singapore.

Since my family and I arrived here, we have been overwhelmed by the warmth of the welcome that we have received from those that work at the British High Commission and the British Council, business people that I have met through the British Chamber and elsewhere, the wider British community around the British Club and British Association, and the many others that we have had the chance to get to know in this short time.

This is a fascinating time to be in Singapore. It sits at the heart of the region that is driving the global economic recovery. British companies, products, brands and people are well established here and thriving.

The British Government's objectives of delivering economic prosperity and national security, as well as ensuring that we provide a first class service to British citizens overseas, are clear and resonate deeply here. There is huge scope for partnership with Singapore and the wider region on these and other issues.  I look forward to discussing how we can deliver our objectives and learning about what you want to see from us here at the High Commission.
