The Consular Section is committed to providing the best possible service and believes that handling complaints is an important part of our service. We also welcome any comments that you may wish to make about our operation. We are committed to:

• listening to our users’ views
• learning from our mistakes
• continually improving our service.

Sending your complaints and comments to Singapore office
If you wish to comment on, or complain about the service you have experienced from the Consular Section, you can write to the Head of Consular Section Centre or to the Head of Chancery.

We aim to respond to your complaint within 20 working days. To help us achieve this, along with the details of your complaint, please provide:

• your full name or the name of the applicant
• applicant's date of birth
• applicant's nationality
• type of application made
• application reference number, if known

In your dealings with the Consular Section, you have a right to expect prompt and courteous service. In providing that service, our staff are entitled to civility and respect. It is our policy that staff should not handle enquiries or applications from rude or threatening applicants or sponsors.
